Closet Cleanout Sale 2016

There has been so much talk on Marie Kondo's book on tidying the past weeks within my circle of friends. I guess this comes naturally after receiving tons of Christmas gifts and realizing you have no more space to store them.  So when Tin invited us to join them in a garage sale, I did not hesitate! Tidy up and sell the things that no longer 'spark joy', as Marie Kondo puts it. Who knows? They may very well spark joy for others.

Join us this Saturday, January 23, 2016, at the Corinthian Gardens Clubhouse from 8am to 1pm as we sell pre-loved, barely used and even brand new toys, clothes, and all other treasures.  Some of the sellers have posted the items that they will be selling online and people are already getting first dibs at them. Do come early and even invite  your helpers and drivers. There is definitely something for everyone!

Here are some of the items that you will find from the various sellers on that day. Search #ClosetCleanoutSale2016 on Instagram to see more.

 See you this Saturday!

My Melissa Holiday

It's almost December! Have you done your Christmas shopping yet?

Exactly a year ago, I shared about my long-time fascination with Melissa shoes (Read about it here ).  Twelve months later, nothing has changed. I am still a big fan of Melissa and am excited each time they come out with new designs for both moms and little girls.  Check out the adorable new designs this season plus some classics that we love.

Last November 10, Dawn and I were invited to get a sneak peak of the new designs that will be launched this Christmas season.

Darth Vader on your Daughter's shoes? Why not!

More from the Star Wars collection
And what I am currently waiting for...the new sandals from the Campana Barroca collection. So beautiful!

This year, Melissa has an even better news for moms whose little girls are growing up. They now have a line for tweens called Mel. These are for those girls who are already too big for Mini Melissa but are still too small for the regular Melissa line. Awesome, right? Here are some jelly shoes for your fashionable tweens.
I love how Melissa shoes are always fun yet classy.  It stays in shape and does not go out of style.  I still regularly wear my first Vivienne Westwood pair from 2006 and nobody can guess that it's almost 10 years old.

Now it's time to sashay to the nearest Melissa store and get your own pair. I promise you will not regret it. Check out Melissa's Website for more designs and click here for the list of stores that carry Melissa shoes.

Melissa for My Little Girl

I have a confession to make. I am a Melissa addict.

I am not really one to hoard designer bags or find the need to always buy the latest trend in fashion, but when it comes to Melissa shoes, my will power seems to go away just like that. Through the years, i have accumulated almost 20 pairs of Melissa shoes. Most of them from the Vivienne Westwood collection.
A portion of my shoe cabinet

My first Melissa is this green pair which i bought back in 2008. It looks almost as new as the day i bought them! And mind you i wear my Melissa shoes all the time. I wear them to work on a daily basis and to church on weekends. So it's not like they're rarely worn. What i like about Melissa is that it retains its shape and can be washed and cleaned after each use. They're very comfortable too!
Vivienne Westwood Lady Dragon collection

So when i had my baby girl in 2011, one of my friends who knew me well gave her a pair of Mini Melissa. I was ecstatic! I did not even realize then that they had Melissa for kids! Oh, the joy! I have tried buying other less expensive shoes for my daughter but they often just get broken soon after. Melissa shoes may be a bit more pricey but it's worth every penny. It's stylish and long lasting. No need to keep on buying a new pair of shoes ever so often.

So a few weeks ago, my daughter and i were invited to the launch of Mini Melissa's animal line. Each pair is just as adorable as the next.

Doesn't she look like Toothless in How to Train Your Dragon? Adorable!

This was my daughter's first pair but in another color. So cute and dainty!

Rhino boots! Who doesn't like boots?

White Rabbit, anyone?

Perfect with that sweet summer dress

Mini ballet - coming out in December! Watch out for it!

Cuteness overload! Gingerbread cookie for the holidays!

All little girl loves teddy bears!

Baby Melissa! Perfect for that new baby girl inaanak!
All of the above Mini Melissa pairs come in a variety of colors. It's time to grab a pair (or two) for your precious little girls' tiny feet!

Mini Melissa Shoes are available at Geleia (Alabang Town Center, TriNoma, Mall of Asia, Shangri-la, SM Aura, Greenbelt 5, Magnolia, Megamall), Rustans (Makati, Shangri-la, Alabang Town Center), Mothercare (Greenbelt 5, Glorietta 4, BGC Active Fun, Magnolia, Shangri-la, Eastwood, TriNoma), Flatshop (Eastwood and Greenhills), Selected Shoe Salon stores, Shoe Thing (Highstreet, Greenbelt 5, TriNoma, Eastwood, Lucky Chinatown).
